How The EpiPaws Cat Age Test Works
1. Swab
Once you receive your kit, you'll play scientist and collect your pet's DNA with a mouth swab.
2. Mail
After swabbing, you'll mail your pet's sample in using the box and prepaid return label.
3. Result
Get results in 4-6 weeks. You'll get an estimated birthday along with life-stage proactive insights.

The Science of Age Estimation
We use epigenetics to estimate age! Epigenetics is the study of molecules and mechanisms that interact with DNA and affect the expression of genes without changing the DNA sequence. For the Pet Age Test, we quantify DNA methylation at certain areas of the genome.
